Hi 👋
I'm curious enough to start working as an open source contributor. 🖐️
No update from potaka for a long time. 😞
We should start once again to enrich our Bangla Programming Community with our beloved potaka ❤️

  • Is it possible to assign specific Maintainer from current contributors to make this project running?
  • And we'll get a ton of highly interested contributors to go ahead

@shaonkabir8 That would be great. I'd like to contribute. I made some contributions in the past too. But I'm not sure if @ikrum vai has the time to focus on this project right now. But if we get a positive response from Ikrum vai, maybe we can start with completing the documentation.

Thanks for creating the issue. I think what's missing here is not the coding itself, coding is super easy to do. What's missing here is the group of people who would have a long term vision and take this project forward.

Could anyone come up with a plan about new features, timeline, drivers (a group of people)?

@ikrum Thank you so much for your positive response. I reckoned that too. We need some dedicated contributors who understand the ideology behind Potaka. As far as I understand, that is - to make programming more accessible to everyone (especially kids) in Bangladesh. Please correct me if I'm not on point.

I really am interested in helping to take this project forward. I am thinking about the new plans and features for Potaka. I will let you know if I come up with some ideas.

@ikrum vai, would you please give Write permission to highly interested contributors for having some ideas creating projects writing detailed ideas?

Dear sir,
We are in a world were technology is in every nook and corner and potaka is a language that teaches every child programming in bangla. It is a really good initiative and sir I love this project a lot. With your due consent I would like to contribute to the project.

Its great to see that many of us are already interested. Hopefully more people will join when we start working on it again.

Dear sir,
As I can see in potaka has many features missing like map functions, foreach loop, class, const variables, etc.

It's just my opinion. We can make the syntex more user-friendly and we can add more examples in the documentation.

Also, we can add some snippets/code suggestions for potaka editor. I would love to contribute to this project.

And as it is built with js we can add DOM in the future versions.
