In Step number 2 - Editing Grub (https://gitlab.com/risingprismtv/single-gpu-passthrough/-/wikis/2)-Editing-GRUB) It is recommended to add video=efifb:off
as Kernel Parameter in grub config.
In my tests it was found that when using this parameter, TTY of my host os stopped working.
Removing video=efifb:off
(keeping other values the same intel_iommu=on iommu=pt
) fixed the TTY issue and the guest os booting and restoring host os after shutting down guest, all worked fine.
