When the day rolls over according to UTC, no events can be seen until day rolls over according to local time

I've run into this several times now and am not sure what to do about it. I use UTC on my SO boxes but my local computer uses Eastern (UTC-4). My Squert instances indicate they are using UTC. However, the date portion of the interval is always the current day according to my time zone. This means that between 8:00pm and midnight Eastern time, I can't see any new events in Squert because at 8:00pm Eastern, UTC rolls over to tomorrow but my Squert instance is still stuck in today according to Eastern time. Squert appears quite unwilling to allow me to simply select tomorrow's date. Like right now it's about 11pm on the 25th in my time zone, and my Squert stubbornly refuses to allow me to see anything later than 23:59 UTC (3 hours ago). I've tried closing and reopening Squert but it continues to use my local time zone for the date but UTC for the time. Please tell me I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks,
Kevin
