Address Travis CI changes

The old .travis.yml configuration used to work fine, generating output like this. For whatever reason, the output started to look quite different this past Monday. I'm not exactly sure what happened. I think Microsoft has changed the install script for install-dotnet.sh.
In any event, this needs to be investigated and solved so we can start to effectively use and trust Travis CI for our builds.
