Custom Button Card Error bei show_state

Used Custom card:
https://github.com/custom-cards/button-card
tested releases: 3.4 - 4.1
As soon as "show_state: true is entered following error is produced:
TypeError: r is null
using standard cards works fine. Error is not present when using custom card in HA
Expected behavior
No Error, card showing state

Seems to be fixed with V4.1.2
