"Save username instead of first name of users" read from adapter

Is it possible to read out from the adapter if the checkmark was set at "Save username instead of first name of users"? I get again and again inquiries and issue for my adapter (device-reminder), because the users set the hook incorrectly

Be able to query a data point or via sendTo whether the option was selected

Currently I have to explicitly point this out in my readme and hope that users actually follow it.

I saw that in the native part it says if "Username" was selected. So I already have my solution
