tlsdate fails to compile with latest polarssl

The current tlsdate code fails to compile with the current version of polarssl (1.3.9). I'll attach the error output.
While at this I'm curious: Would you consider that polarssl is the preferred ssl library backend for tlsdate? I'm asking because I'd like to know if Gentoo as a distribution should make that the default. (in Ubuntu they default to openssl.)

Hanno,
I have a patch against version 0.0.6. See https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=536322
