Support Push Notifications on Browser Platform

I love the way how easy it is to send push notifications to the various mobile platforms with the Ionic Cloud API.
But I'm also using Ionic for building browser apps and it would be nice since the underlying phonegap push plugin supports the browser platform (see Phonegap Push Platform Support) if this could be provided for the Ionic Cloud API in order to receive background push notifications in a web browser.
