sending funds always results in Request Error

Description
I am trying to send my balance to and address LDHFOGNELO9GLACYEREPMPZXRVO9NDMPBILWFNWGEYPQZHMTGKTJUPOSRWYPLADQDS9XQWAPYLKAVEAMCENNGJPR9X
I tried to send my whole balance. with (Mi) unit tried (i) tried a smaller amount all efforts result in the wallet thinking for a 15 seconds and then a red background text "x REQUEST ERROR" no more details about whats wrong.
Steps to Reproduce
- push send button
- filling the send to address
- fill in the amount
- pus send button.
Expected behavior: [What you expected to happen]
the wallet should say transaction sent - processing transaction
this is the simplest operation that a wallet should do and it should work.
Actual behavior: [What actually happened]
rejected transaction with REQUEST ERROR

Hey @gmarcotte3 , try to change the operating node. tools > edit node config > change the host to custom and try https://nodes.thetangle.org:443 or https://field.carriota.com:443.
Does the error message still appear?
Hey @gmarcotte3 , attach some new receive addresses. Does the old balance come back?
