Error when moving to parent directory

I'm getting the following error when moving to parent directory located in /*
. I thought it could be related to folder permissions, I tried sudo vim
but didn't solve it.
I'm on macOS Sierra using Vim 8.1
and python 3.7.0

It seems to be a general issue that vim now does not work. As I test the plugin with neovim, I didn't realize this earlier. I'll try to fix this asap.
