Confirmation email and Waiting List email not working on staging

logged in as student1: ***@gmail.com – booked 1 place - NO CONFIRMATION EMAIL RECEIVED

logged in as student2: ***@cam.ac.uk: FULL – Waiting list is available

  • tried booking a place on the waiting list: ERROR Event Booking Failed (but was successfully added to waiting list) - NO WAITING LIST EMAIL RECEIVED

logged in as event manager: ***@isaacphysics.org

  • student1 is successfully booked on workshop
  • student2 is successfully on the waiting list

logged in as student1. Cancelled booking

logged in as event manager – student1 successfully cancelled

logged in as student1 – event appears as full – waiting list available

  • added to waiting list – ERROR

logged in as event manager – both appear on waiting list (possible to know order of booking?)

  • promoted student2 to workshop from waiting list – EMAIL RECEIVED! But it's an .ics event email, not the email in email templates.

Part of this will have been solved by the waiting list email fix #872
The non-striked-out lines are the remaining problems, the final one is covered by #874:
