sonoff mini v1.2 fw3.6.0 can't join ITEAD-XXXXX network

trying to connect to a sonoff mini v1.2 (jumper and pins not available) with FW3.6.0 installed
I can get the device to show SSID ITEAD-XXXXX but when I enter pwd 12345678 to join it always tells me wrong password, tried with iphone, ipad and macbook.

Anybody else with these issues, I have no idea to to get over it.

@testorp Can you tell me how you did to flash firmware? I can login to itead network but flashing firmware fails
