I'm using Notepad++ (PHP, XML, CSV, …) and Visual Studio (.NET)
But for every project you almost always also need Excel and Word
(Technical Specs, Functional analysis, …) For this blog I also started using Windows Live Writer.
Especially those "non-tech" editors are the ones that developers traditionally just don't want to use.
But fact is, we have to spend considerable time using those tools so learning those editors (really)
well does pay off. The faster you finish the boring (?) Word tasks, the faster you can move on to
the cooler things.
