Calendar syncing options

I currently use etar and simple calendar on my pixel 7, with etesync used on the backend to sync between devices.
Is this app written specifically for the Google calendar app or will it work standard AOSP system, like com.android.calendar and com.android.providers.calendar?
It uses the android.provider.CalendarContract class. I am not sure if this is something specific to Google Calendar, but I know it works with other Calendar apps running on LineageOS.
The only problem that I saw was on a couple Samsung phones. I'm not sure what app they were using, but the Data/Time format was slightly different (the seconds for a repeating events was missing). I fixed it to prevent a crash.
So, I cannot answer for sure if it will work with your calendar app. If it does not, I can try to fix it you are able to provide information on the problem.
