Enable Auto-light on time sync

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
The Auto-light feature (= the watch illuminates when you physically move/raise it up to read the time) is a handy on, but on my GBD-800 (currently officially not supported: #63), I can only activate that feature for the next 6 hours, after which it'll be automatically disabled.
I would wish to keep it on all the time.

Describe the solution you'd like
Since this app can adjust the time 4 times per day, it could also re-enable the Auto-light on those occasions.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Sadly none.

Additional context
I know this watch is not officially supported, but maybe other supported models could benefit from this feature.

This feature will not be relaible, because auto time sync often is not run. In addition, it will drain the battery for this watch.

However, we have added abitity to turn auto-light on/off setting for this watch.

Closing this issue.

I guess I'd rather see have that feature with a "warning: may be unreliable" disclaimer than not have it at all. :)

Sorry, @breversa, but sometimes it is better to leave a feature out than to have it not working well. Here are my reasons:

  • This only applies to this watch, so it is an outlier.
  • Casio may have had a legitimate reason to limit auto-light, since for this watch, draining the battery may be an issue.
  • Most importantly, we make a decision for other users, which may not be what they want. Maybe some users would not like to have the auto-light on, and we keep turning it on for them. I would be annoyed by that.

Sure, I understand your point. I was simply stating my opinion.

Also, regarding we make a decision for other users, which may not be what they want. Maybe some users would not like to have the auto-light on, and we keep turning it on for them., I was thinking of making this optional/togglable, not systematic.

Again, thanks for you (fast!) work. :)
