[Bug]: Missing Data

derekakelly opened this issue · 7 comments

The problem

I was originally going to run octoprint on a dedicated raspberry pi, but they're impossible to find at MSRP right now, so I set it up in my home server instead. Unfortunately, some of the data I'm expecting to see is missing. The Layer Durations, Estimated total print time, Total Layers, and Average Layer Time.

I tried the gcode file you provided and all of the information was showing correctly.

I have noticed that in the logs there is no mention of dashboard gcode analysis, and also that the log file seems quite short, is it possible that you cleared the logs after the issue occurred before uploading?

It is also possible that the gcode analysis did not work properly for some reason. Can you please let me know if it still happens if you re-upload the file, wait a bit to ensure that the analysis completes, and then start the print?

Hi j7126,

I save my gcode files over the network to a shared folder for octoprint. Using the refresh icon in the Files section of the left side, I get the files to show up in the list. I've found that if I go into the settings, then to the PrintTimeGenius Plugin, select the new file in that list and analyze it. It will show all the data. sometimes. However, frequently the data for the layers doesn't come up. this happens both with MMU prints and single extruder prints. it's about 50/50 now.

Below is an example of something analyzed with the method mentioned above, that I'm printing right now. Just to confirm the current layer height data was accessible, i loaded the gcode viewer and it came right up.

I am also noticing this issue when printing via Obico (formerly Spaghetti Detective), although this shouldn't matter, should it?

I have a similar problem, version Version 1.8.6

I have the same problem, but noticed that this happens to me when using PrusaSlicer and not with Cura. Octoprint V 1.8.7

Me too, same problem, missing info: Total layers & Average Layer Time.
I don't need that missing info. Could I hide bottom info line?
Is there any way to hide the information (layers, height and average time) by turning it off in the settings or something?

  • OctoPrint 1.9.0
  • Dashboard 1.19.9
  • Display Layer Progress 1.28.0
  • gcode uploaded from PrusaSlicer 2.5.2
