Titles with dot(.) prefix

I posted an issue at asciidoc site but no response. Ill see if anyone here has an idea.

Using IE11, titles that are prefixed with a dot(.) will be skipped.
This list for example will still work but the title, Parts of an atom, is skipped due to the dot(.),
.Parts of an atom
. Protons
. Electrons
. Neutrons

Haven't found a reason for it and all the asciidocs are perfectly formatted when using. I am leaning towards something being set here globally.
Any ideas?
