I'm Jabir Ghaffar, a dedicated data scientist with a passion for using R to transform data into insights. I embarked on an intense 3-month data science training program where I:
- Scraped data from the web using various tools and techniques.
- Manipulated and transformed data into a tidy format for seamless analysis.

- Developed the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Was 1 of only 2 people, out of 7, who successfully graduated from the rigorous program.
I joined Posit for an 11-month internship focused on R programming:
- Contributed coding solutions to 16 chapters of the published book R for Data Science.
- Tackled real-world problems, creating efficient and reproducible R code.
- Worked closely with the Posit team to support their mission of enhancing data science education.
This year, I served as a teaching assistant, where I:
- In-Depth R Instruction: Helped students gain a deep understanding of R, focusing on data manipulation and visualization techniques.
- Adaptable Teaching Style: Adjusted my teaching methods to meet each studentโs individual learning needs, ensuring everyone could grasp the key concepts.
- Student Guidance: Assisted students in analyzing wealth and equity data among different ethnic groups in America, providing one-on-one support to enhance their analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Currently, I am working as an intern with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), where I apply my data science skills to real-world healthcare data.
