Local Conda version conda 4.11.0. Use https://github.com/jamescalam/transformers/blob/main/environment.yaml to set up the environment.

Did conda update conda and conda update conda -c conda-forge

But the issue persists.

I have the same issue using Mac. Are you using Mac?

Following apple silicon installation seem to help.
