Simulate key presses instead of button clicks

I've noticed some performance issues on Google Chrome Version 75.0.3770.80 on macOS. Maybe it'd be better to simulate key presses instead of clicks on the HTML element or provide the user with the option to choose?

Might also be possible to remove the animation and the delay hoping that there's no rate limiting.
