bug: clear thread popover is not dismissed after clicking

Describe the bug
As a user, I thought the feature is broken since I can click over and over again without dismissing. Please help dismiss this popover as soon as I do any action, previously fixed delete thread, now clean thread.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to a Thread
2. Click on '....'
3. Click clear thread
4. It does not dismiss ❌

Expected behavior
The menu is dismissed as soon as I clicked it
