I've just tried to install the extension via CWS in Chrome 95.0.4638.54 (fresh profile) on win11.
and I'm getting the above error:
An error has occurred
Package is invalid. Details: 'Could not load background script 'background.js'.'.

Sorry about that! This was my fault. I just submitted an updated version.
