Python version also requires ipython

Dear all,
Thank you for making this code available. The examples work well, except that I had to install ipython as well as the libraries you listed: it would be useful to state this in your README.pdf.
It would be even more useful if you made this into a python module so that it could be automatically installed and used from anywhere using "pip". If you are interested in doing this I can help.
Regards

Also, pickle is in the standard library, so it doesn't need to be mentionned

Hi Wayne
Thanks for the feedback! I translated the Matlab code to Python but I never got around to learning how to create a Python module. As it stands I don't have the time for something like that so I'd be more than happy if you'd like to take it on!
Steve

Hi Stephen,
OK, I've already made OBSrange installable on my own machine using pip but haven't validated that everything that used to work still does. I'lll be on vacation until January but will try to get to it then. If anyone on your end is currently (or soon) using OBSrange, I could put up the current version for testing, otherwise I'll wait until I have some time to verify everything.
Regards
Wayne

Thanks for doing this Wayne! I could ask one of my students to test this after the holidays.

Yeah, that's great! I think waiting until after the Holidays is fine. I don't know of anyone currently using the code. Thank you!
