Move windows when resizing

When I resize a window, let’s say to the right and there is already a window to the right, then the windows are stacked. Is there an option to move all windows at the right hand side to give appropriate space in this case?

I've been thinking about that for some time, one could probably intoduce a temproray row / column in that scenario.
