The app hangs on the last step of initialisation:
11/11
Supported PID's 0101-0120...
Thanks for your feedback, I will look into this.
Please try the new version from openrepos. It has several bug fixes.
If your problem is not solved, enable the debug file writing. Then reproduce the error and send the log file to me.
Thanks. Seems this problems comes only when conectyng to the old OBD
Adapters like this.

I also tried the old version with this one:

And it was running fine.
Now will test your new version

That sounds interesting. I think the old adapter does something weird. Maybe I'm able to fix this if you send me the debug file.

The new Version doing the same way, like the old.
New OBDII 2.1 Adapter works well, old OBDII 1.2a hangs on the last step of the initialisation.
Here is the logfile:

That looks really weird. I don't exactly understand what's going on there.
From what I can see the following is going wrong:
- Answer to ATZ is OK, except the ATZ which is received at the end
- Answer to ATE0 (switch off echos) is the device information which is completely weird. Maybe he missunderstood and I have to wait a little longer...
- Answer to ATL0 (switch off line feed) is OK, but ELM is still sending line feeds.
- Answer to ATS0 (switch spaces off) is not OK, ELM did not understand that command. That's ok because this command is supported from version 1.3 on. I have to optimize the app so that it reacts to that.
- Answer to 0100 is OK, but the app is now in trouble mainly because of the echos and the spaces.
I have to think about this and decide what to do about it.
Maybe you have an android phone and could test if your old adapter works with OBD Auto Arzt. This app can also create a log file. It may help to make my app compatible to ELM v1.2a.
Let me send you the ELM327 1.2a Adapter.
I also live in Germany, so it wouldn't be expensive.
I bought this Adapter in 2011 for the Nokia N900 Maemo Apps pyOBD an Carman. Both apps are old and have problems with OBD2.1
That would be cool. But it may last some weeks to get everything going. You could send it to me and I pay for the delivery.
