I recommend you to publish your website using Netlify instead of Github Pages: https://bookdown.org/yihui/blogdown/netlify.html There are many advantages of Netlify compared to Github Pages. For example, you easily enable HTTPS (you'd better do this soon since at least Google Chrome plans to warn against non-secure HTTP-based websites).

Basically what you need to do is create an A record of your domain to 104.198.14.52: https://www.netlify.com/docs/custom-domains/ and create a new site on Netlify.
