VideoPress: error when trying to upload a video to the VideoPress block

Quick summary

Whenever I try to upload a video in the block editor, I receive the following error:

"Ah ah ah, you didn't say the magic word"

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start with a site that's connected to WordPress.com.
  2. Go to Jetpack > Settings > Performance and enable the VideoPress feature.
  3. Go to Posts > Add New
  4. Insert the VideoPress block.
  5. Upload a video to the block. Any size, it doesn't matter.

I expected the video to appear in the block.

What actually happened

Instead it wants me to say please, it would seem.
