jekyll/github-metadata

Time for a new release

jekyllbot opened this issue ยท 7 comments

Hello, maintainers! ๐Ÿ‘‹

By my calculations, it's time for a new release of github-metadata. It's been over 2 months since the last release, v2.13.0.

What else is left to be done before a new release can be made? Please make sure to update History.markdown too if it's not already updated.

Thanks! ๐Ÿ’ž โœจ

Looking at v2.13.0...master today, the only real change is #197 which changes the default site title. I think it's good.

v2.14.0 is shipped.

@parkr Congrats on shipping a new release from main branch.
I see a section labelled New Contributors in the GitHub Release. Was that automated or manually documented by you..?

It's a GitHub feature! If you create a new release (or edit an existing one), it's a button to the top right of the notes box, "Auto-generate release notes":

I clicked it, removed the PR data since we had that from History.markdown, and just left the contributor stuff at the bottom ๐Ÿ˜„

Ah! Good to know.
But sadly, (the majority of) our release notes are generated by Jekyllbot.
