Seems to be a bit slow?

henryiii opened this issue · 1 comments

This currently seems to be a possible bottleneck for site generation - running bundle exec Jekyll build --profile, this seems to be taking about 3.2 seconds to run on 142 pages (for comparison, a simple liquid include runs 3264 times in 0.205 seconds; the seo generation is 1/3 of the total website generation time for me). I think loading and running the template is quite slow. Could the loading of the template be cached or a possibly faster way to put together the include be used?

I don't see other issues about performance, so thought this might be useful to think about. Thanks!
