What Operating System are you using (both controller, and any agents involved in the problem)?

Jenkins: 2.375.2
OS: Linux - 5.10.76-linuxkit

To Run:
docker run -p 8080:8080 -p 50000:50000 -v jenkins_home:/var/jenkins_home jenkins/jenkins:lts-jdk11

Reproduction steps

Go to:

  1. [Dashboard] -> [Manage Jenkins] -> Configure Clouds

  2. Add a new Cloud -> type "Docker"

  3. Click Docker cloud details...

  4. Try to use any of your credentials in "Server credentials"

  5. Try to add a new one as you can't use yours, also doesn't work

Expected Results

Be able to select or create a credential to be used in "Server credentials"

Actual Results

NONE is still selected and nothing happens

Anything else?

No response

Docker daemon allows X509 cert auth only, so docker-plugin allows to select X.509 Client Certificate credential only.
I have docker-plugin configured to work with docker by tcp:// with cert auth. I see and can choose any X.509 Client Certificate credential in Server credentials list.

Did you try to create this type of credential and to look if it became selectable in drop down list ?

basil commented

Cannot reproduce. "X.509 Client Certificate" credentials work just fine for me.
