Dependabot doesn’t update package dependencies anymore 😒

With PR #208 we moved the package metadata to a declarative approach using the pyproject.toml file. Alas, it seems that Dependabot isn’t able to handle that correctly and so we track their progress in this issue:

@behnazh looks like Dependabot is back again… both referenced issues are merged and:
