Sending a Heartbeat

Sending a Heartbeat message in a blockchain-based FIX protocol can still be applicable and necessary to maintain an active connection and ensure that both parties are available to receive and process messages.
A Heartbeat message is a message that is sent periodically by one party to another to verify that the connection is still active and the counterparty is available to receive messages. This message does not contain any data, but rather serves as a keep-alive signal to maintain the connection.
In a blockchain-based FIX protocol, even though the blockchain provides a tamper-evident and immutable record of all transactions, the connection between the parties still needs to be maintained to ensure the timely and reliable transmission of messages. Therefore, sending Heartbeat messages can still be useful to ensure that the connection remains active and any issues or errors are detected and resolved promptly.
Moreover, sending Heartbeat messages can also help to prevent denial-of-service attacks or other malicious activities by ensuring that the counterparty is active and responsive.
