Unable to dismiss formatting pop-up

Once the formatting pop-up appears, it is never dismissed, even after deleting all text.
As a user, I'd love to be able to dismiss it with ESC or by having no text selected.

Interesting! I'll have to look into this one more. Quill is the one 3rd party library I'm using and I'm less familiar with its workings.

Personally, I don't like editors that float stuff like that anyway.
