[Bug] Font resets upon restarting computer

I'm on desktop and when I use a system font, it only works for the first time. After restarting my computer, it reverts to the default serif font shown when an invalid font is inputted. I've found that if I reinstall/replace the font, then it does work as normal until restart. I did click "yes" to the popup box asking to persist information though, but idk if that relates to anything here. The font I'm using is Jost.

I totally forgot about this post! I found a solution but never ended up coming back here to close the issue. Anyways, it was just my ignorance and inability to do basic research. All the info is on here at the bottom of the page. In google fonts, the wording of some things have changed slightly but the instructions do still work!
