Render different flavors of Markdown

It would be nice if users would be able to render different flavors of markdown. While editing GitHub flavored Markdown(GFM) I noticed that some images (img tags that were center aligned) weren't rendering. GFM allows some HTML but I believe regular markdown doesn't.
