Runs the command 3 times every time I save something

If I set it to run a command when a text document is changed, for example, if I save changes to that text document in gedit, when-changed executes the command 3 times. Is this a bug in the way that gedit saves things, or in when-changed?

Update: Yep, it's due to a quirk in gedit and it's backup files. Nevermind - I'll use atom instead.
