Rough timespan of project

While it's still very early, I was wondering how long a project you would expect this to be? I know it would be hard to tell this early on, but I'm just curious as to what you think.

The project is likely to be long running. It would be nice to get some core functionality complete this summer, ideally the core datastructures nailed down, some core example concepts with instance examples, a web app for visualising the initial dataset and possibly some example AI algorithms and/or crowd sourcing prototypes. It really depends on what work people are willing to take on.
