Allow user to choose a custom icon for each VS Code project

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
No problem other than looking at ways to clearly differentiate between VS Code windows when I'm working on multiple projects simultaneously. The color is tremendously useful but another mental cue could make the context switch that much easier.
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd love the ability to pick my own icon to represent the project. Probably the Sidebar/Activity bar would be best but it could be anywhere.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Maybe it could default to an appropriate language icon if available (e.g. python, node logo).

Excuse the poor photoshop but here's a mockup to clarify my thinking...the icon appears in the chrome somewhere. Could be a software framework icon (e.g. dbt) or a custom project icon. Hope that helps!
