Ethereum 發佈了 Casper V.0.1.0 代碼：Ethereum 新一代的共識算法，將切換至 Proof-of-Stake 機制。Proof-of-Stake 又稱為 Virtual Mining，將有效解決 Proof-of-Work 消耗大量電力的問題。
