Are GitHub credentials passed to Agents?

Sorry for opening an issue to ask a question, if there is a more appropriate place to ask, please point me there.
It would seem to me, the Agent doesn't need to know anything about your GitHub credentials, so they wouldn't ever be sent. Is that correct?
I'm using CloudAgents in an attempt to protect my server from malicious code (open source project). Any recommendations on using this for OSS projects?
