What feature would you like to see added to TallyArbiter?

I want this feature!

thanks for your work

I am normally using Sony and Grassvalley Switcher

sony is using parallel and serial tally
Grassvalley is using parallel tally and Ethernet tally

do you have any plan to support that?

traditionally parallel tally is still more used as source in switcher

I hope that tally arbiter changes (parallel tally: GPO) from switcher to TSL-UMD
so that I can use sony switcher as a source in tally Arbiter

Hey @haejung-kim !

We would love to support Sony's and Grass valley's tally protocols, but our big issue is that we don't have direct access to either of those switchers to reverse engineer the protocols for them.

Are you in a place where you could possibly get us remote access to a Sony or grass valley to do the required dev work and then test out our beta build?

I have a GPIO to TSL pogram that I can license to you as well. You would run it on a Raspberry Pi and read the GPI pins on the Pi as they are connected to the GPO pins on your switcher. Then you would send this data into your TA instance via a TSL 3.1 source type. Feel free to reach out to me via email if you want more information on that.

Hi @haejung-kim

It's fairly early stages, but I think I've got Grass Valley Kahuna Tally protocol working via IP in this pull request:
#589

@peternewman lmk. when it's ready to merge

Hi @josephdadams I'm not sure if you know this already or if its of any use, but Grass Valley have included a Frame simulator that is installed with the rest of the K-Frame software:

The K-Frame software is downloadable from their website:(https://community.grassvalley.com/support/s/productdownloadmaster/ProductDownloadMaster__c/Default)
