Below are my remarks regarding this article:

The article fails to adequately cite Chinese sources, such as the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has already fully refuted the allegations and stated that even if Microsoft were to get involved, it would not change the conclusion that the U.S. government is spreading rumors and carrying out a large number of hacking attacks itself. Additionally, as early as 2020, China had discovered and accused American hacker groups of attacking Chinese government agencies, enterprises, and schools.

As a Chinese, I am well aware that differences in ideology, language, and information sources can lead to different understandings and perceptions of the same events between the East and the West. If your goal is to achieve non-discriminatory and unbiased news reporting, then, similar to Wikipedia, presenting the perspectives of all parties in an equitable manner by providing equal space for their viewpoints can be an effective approach to achieve this goal.

In the reporting of the same news story, there may be significant conflicts or even completely opposing views between Chinese, Russian, and other national media outlets, as well as global English-language news agencies. Even in media outlets from other places like India or Turkey, where there may not be such pronounced ideological conflicts, the angles and scope of their reporting may still differ from those of major news agencies. Showcasing these differences is not only interesting but also a necessary step towards responsibly presenting a comprehensive view of the world.

Thank you.

ps One more thing: Many institutions and universities that publish "media credibility scores" and rankings often categorize mainstream media from "hostile countries" as untrustworthy. For example, as I mentioned earlier, CGTN and Xinhua are labeled as "state-controlled media," "foreign agents," or purveyors of "fake news." I want to emphasize that these are the primary channels through which many of us in our homeland gain a substantial understanding of our country. If they were truly tainted by extremist forces like InfoWars, our daily lives would have long been thrown into immense chaos due to a lack of authentic news information. Even the official media of North Korea, such as the KCNA, doesn't produce entirely fabricated news. The voices of such official media outlets reflect what the majority of the country's people are exposed to and, to some extent, indicate how the thoughts of the majority are shaped. It's similar to observing the audience of CNN, BBC, The New York Times, Fox News, and so on.
