Can't verify user with special characters

Hi,

I was attempting to add my user account but I have run into a problem.

My username of choice for games is fatman (from MGS2), and when this is unavailable I opt for an underscore after, instead of numbers: "fatman_". This is fine and Faeria has accepted this as a username.

However, when I registered for a forum account, the address for my activity has dropped the underscore. https://boards.faeria.com/users/fatman/activity. This means I can't add myself to your app and adding "fatman" wouldn't work because that's not me.

Unfortunately, I do not have any suggestions for a work around as I appreciate it's important to verify the user actually exists.

Hmm, interesting. If we knew the rules they used to map the faeria account to the forum account, we could simply apply those when doing the verification.

This also raises the question: What happens to someone who wants the name "fatman" (no underscore)? Since you obviously have that forum account, would they append some random number/characters to the end to make it unique?
