Progression
Each power has a couple of options where a power slot can be used to upgrade the power to have an additional effect.
Due to class feats like Engineer's Mastermind's Tactical Advantage, a power can have both of it's advancements prepared, they can only cast one of the other however, not both effects at the same time.
Some class feats, like Soldier's Havoc's Advanced Combat powers automatically learn an advancement on each power for free.
Number of uses
Each school of power has a different way of tracking uses
These will all need to be accounted for
Biotics
Biotics use standard power slots
Tech
Tech powers use a points system, where each level of a power costs 1 point (so a 3rd level power for example costs 3 points). All tech powers use the same pool of points
Combat
Combat powers work exactly the same as feats, where in each power has a miximum numer of uses per long or short rest.
Changes to cost
Some feats, like Adept's Biotic mastery, allow the character to select a few powers which, when cast at their base level, do not cost anything.
