Ninjamcast not connecting to Shoutcast v2.6

I have Ninjam server running on Ubuntu 20.04 (LTS) x64, and have specific issue with regards to ninjamcast. I have configured .cfg for my shoutcast server, and not exactly sure what configuration is documented. I also have a user called "shoutcast" with user name and password corresponding with the njcast.cfg file and it is set to CBTKRM type user.
I’m not receiving any error messages, it’s just that the ninjam server is not connecting to my shoutcast server. It’s possible that I have not configured the right settings (.i.e. IP/URL, user/password combination, port and/or mount point?) and finding it difficult issue to troubleshoot. Everything else is setup and working correctly, just need some feedback with issues connecting to shoutcast, version: "2.6.0.753" is currently installed.
Receiving explicit error message now with ninjamcast:
couldn't log into sc server
time to reconnect...

After troubleshooting connectivity, discovered the issue is related to current installation of sc running v2 and after I switched sc protocol back to v1 system works, if anyone discovers this useful.
