Repeating events

Hi,
I’m currently working along with my colleagues on repeated events which exhibit a certain temporal pattern, e.g. alarms.
We'd like to contribute a feature to Scaper to deal with such scenarios.
Our proposed solution is to create a method that, given an event specification, copies foreground events, shifts them by a certain amount of time and adds them to the eventSpec.
We'd like to hear your thoughts on this, or on any alternative solutions you may consider worth discussing.
