Phone no. with dots "01.23.45.67" remain in outbox

In kalkun, go to "compose" to compose a new SMS
Enter a phone number with dots like "01.23.45.67"
The message will not be sent.

Dashes or spaces are supported (ie the SMS gets sent) but dots aren't

01-23-45-67 gets sent
01 23 45 67 gets sent
01.23.45.67 stays in outbox

Same problem with / like 01/23/45/67
