Update Ubuntu PPA

CollinScripter opened this issue · 7 comments

The current PPA doesn't have packages for Ubuntu 17.10 Artful Aardvark, and support for 17.04 Zesty Zapus ended on January 13th.

@CollinScripter - I will be preparing a new release soon and include 17.10 support. But I won't be able to test it. Since 17.10 runs Gnome, it might not play nicely.
#50

@kasramp - Ah, I didn't see the other issue because it was closed and I assumed an issue like that would be open. I've been using this on GNOME on 17.10 for around 100 days and had no problems, except the notifications and that there was no way to disable them. #48 This got annoying enough that I disabled them myself, https://github.com/CollinScripter/UbuntuIndicatorWeather/commit/3291278fb3abf279108d82d449ceef8d31c5e560 . I'll open a pull request if you haven't already implemented the feature and have yet to commit it.

Thanks, @CollinScripter for the annoying issue #48. I haven't fixed the issue yet. I have been quite busy recently and didn't have much time to work on this project.
It would be awesome if you can create a PR for this fix.

I'd also like to request support for 18.04 using Unity.

@CollinScripter @moorepants - I've released a new version and updated PPA. Now PPA is available for Ubuntu 18.04. I don't have a machine running 18.04 so I'm not sure whether the indicator works there or not. The DE is Gnome and might not work smoothly.
Let me know how it works if you guys can test it. Thanks

Confirmed that is works on Ubuntu 18.04 running Unity! Thanks.
