Roland S-220 - Quick disk issue

andr229k opened this issue · 1 comments

Environment:
Gotek with AT2 or AT3 MCU and Quickdisk firmware 3.39 installed.
Jumper on MO and JC
Interface = jc

Diagnose:
According to following ticket it should be compatible:
#509

  • At that point, it might have been around firmare version 3.27 - 3.28

The installation information on the Wiki page, seems straight forward:

Here is HxC confirmed as working:
https://amsynths.co.uk/2019/08/08/roland-quick-disk-emulation/

The USB-stick has been formatted correctly as content is shown on OLED screen.

Symptom:

  • When the emulator is connected to the S-220 and the USB stick is inserted. Then the green LED lights up steadily and the S-220 does not respond to any keystrokes. At power-up, “Initializing” appears on the S-220 display, but the “Ready” message remains absent.
  • If inserting the USB stick, after switching on the S-220, display comes up with the “Ready” message and when pressing the “LOAD” button, it also asks for a QD. When USB-stick is then inserted, nothing happens either and the S-220 seems to wait patiently for the QD. However, the process can only be ended by switching off the S-220.

Is there something banal, which I have overseen here?

Should work. Wiring issue? Compare with HxC?
