Loading slow while the attachment size is big

I use this to fetch 20 emails from my company smtp mailbox, some of the emails size is big due to the attachment. When it comes to this situation, the module loads very slow. Most of the time, I don't need to fetch the whole email. I just want to filter according to the sender, receiver or subject.
